Hwang Jungeun Korea

Hwang Jungeun was born in 1976 in Seoul and made her debut in 2005 winning the Kyunghyang Shinmun New Writer’s Contest. She has published the short story collections The Seven Thirty-Two Elephant Train and Introduction of Pa-ssi and novels One Hundred Shadows and The Barbaric Miss Alice. She is the recipient of the Hankook Ilbo Literary Award (2010) and the Shin Dong-yeop Literary Award (2012) for Introduction of Pa-ssi. She previously hosted the podcast ‘Sound of Sentences’ in 2012 and currently hosts the podcast ‘Radio Book Café'.
