Jana Benova Slovakia

Jana Beňová was born in Bratislava, Slovak Republic in 1974. Her novel, Café Hyena: Seeing pople off (Café Hyena: Plánodprevádzania), won the 2012 European Union Prize for Literature and as far it was translated in to nine languages. She is the author of three books of poetry, a collections of shortstories 12 shortstories and Ján Med (12 poviedok a Ján Med), the novels Parker (2001), Café Hyena: Seeing pople off (2008), Away! Away! (Preč! Preč!) (2012), Honeymoon (2015), and a collection of her newspaper columns, Jana Beňová—Today (Jana Beňová—Dnes) (2010).
