[One on One] (Resilience) Meets the Eye
As we are keeping an eye on the small things, the trivial things, the useless things, literature at last reveals its own value. This is because the moments in our lives are made up of these very things, and weaving the warp and weft of historical time. Ultimately, literature is present in every moment of our lives. Even when, at times, historical difficulties bring us to our knees and personal suffering brings about moments of despair, as long as we have literature, our seemingly small, trivial, and useless lives come to be filled with the strength gained from enduring those hard times. We want to hear the stories of Juhea Kim and Kim Soom, who, with unwavering affection, continue to gaze tenderly upon the fragile moments of our lives.
