[One on One] (Love Beyond What) Meets the Eye
Love is never ceasing in our efforts to know. Even if the object of that love is no longer in front of you. Thus, love sometimes becomes one with melancholy, with elements of obsession and affinity, and easily transcends the confines of the word itself. For Jeon Hayoung and Matteo B. Bianchi, literature is one form of ‘love’ in practice. Rather than resign themselves to the unknown, these writers are constantly moving forward in their endeavors to know through their literature. Now, in their endless pursuit of knowledge about the objects of their interest that have since retreated from their realities, they have arrived at a special moment that cannot be reduced to mere sorrow or joy. These are literary moments that can only be reached through the algorithm of love.
