[Writers in Conversation] Echoes of Time: Past, Future, and the In-Between
Sensing time. Distinguishing the past, present, and future, examining the particulars of an incident and searching for meaning are all things that literature has been doing and will do going forward. Humans who remember, humans who deduce the connection between cause and effect and trace the meaning of every occurrence, may have instinctively had no choice but to make art.
