Choi Jin-Young began her career as a writer in 2006. She is the author of the novels The Name of the Girl Who Passed You By, Proof of Gu, To The Warm Horizon, Dear Yi Jeya, and Only One Person, as well as the short story collections Spinning Top, Winter Vacation, and Things to be Written, among others. She has been awarded the Yi Sang Literary Award, the Manhae Prize for Literature, the Shin Dong-yup Prize for Literature, and the Hankyoreh Literary Award. Her work has been published in translation in the United States, China, Japan, and Russia.
