Shim Bo-Seon made his literary debut by winning the 1994 Chosun Ilbo New Writer’s Contest. He is the author of Fifteen Seconds Without Sorrow, Someone Always in the Corner of My Eye, Today, I’m Not So Sure, If I Had to Kill Someone, A Story You Thought You Would Write in Spring, Smoked Art, Is the Landscape on Your Side Bright?, and more. The winner of the Nojak Literary Award, the Kim Jun-Sung Literary Award, and the Kim Jong-sam Poetry Award, Shim is currently a professor in the graduate school of Communication and Arts at Yonsei University. His collections Fifteen Seconds Without Sorrow (Parlor Press, 2016) and Someone Always in the Corner of My Eye (White Pine Press, 2016) have been published in English translations.
