Jang I-Ji Poet South Korea
Jang I-Ji debuted as one of the new writers recommended by Hyundae Munhak in 2000. He is the author of the poetry collections Lemonyellow, The Age of Letters, and The Blue of the Lake Where the Duck Boat Passed, among others, and his collection A Boy Is Looking at the White Moon from a Classroom Under the Sea was published in translation in the United States. Jang has won the Kim Guyong Literary Prize and the Oh Janghwan Literary Prize. He is currently a professor in the Department of Korean Language and Literature at Jeju University.
